Best Director Nominees
Yea!

IRA: Cashing In will play another in-person theater on September 18! There is nothing like watching a comedy film with an audience and hearing them laugh loudly and often. I’m pleased to say that we have two award nominations at the festival as well.

Best Comedy Nom!
Best Actor Nom to Gary! Congrats!

The Writer’s Lab

Author of the Epilogue / Epilogue, whatever you want to call it, is in serious consideration over at the NYWIFT Writer’s Lab. One of the Top 20 finalists!!! Fingers crossed!

BOTH THE SCRIPTS I ENTERED MADE IT INTO THE SEMIFINALS!

Middlebury Script Lab

The lab was amazing! My fellow Fellows–Devin Adair, Meg Swertlow, Huriyyah Muhammad, John Burr, and Alan Baxter–are not only very talented writers, but most are multi-hyphenate producers and directors as well. So fortunate to be in their company and to have gotten to know them a bit.

Many thanks to the directors of the lab: the extremely talented and insightful Ioana Uricaru and David Miranda Hardy as well as their assistant/grad-student filmmaker Jacob Morton!

I’m a Middlebury Script Lab Fellow for 2021!

I’m stoked to announce that Author of the Epilogue was selected as one of only three features for this year’s Middlebury Script Lab. So honored! Sadly, there is no link for me to embed in this post as the winners were announced via FilmFreeway. But, I will post updates after the lab, which will take place virtually this month and next.
